Post Christmas in Columbus

We went to Columbus the day after Christmas and had an awesome time with the Heany's, Potwora's and Gigi and Grandad! We exchanged presents, went to a Bounce House place and went bowling/mini golf. The boys loved getting a ton of play time to play with everyone! On the way home we stopped in Indy to visit the Stines too!

Polar Express, Papa's trains, Christmas Eve and Christmas

We had a busy Christmas week!
On Thursday, my mom and I had a Mother/Daughter ornament exchange at Arlos house. On Friday the boys and I went to Katie Stones house for the annual cookie decorating party with my friends. And Friday afternoon, the Jeppsons arrived intown and we surprised the boys with tickets to the Polar Express at Union Station. We had a blast! Saturday morning (Christmas Eve) we went to Mimi and Papas for the train open house.  The boys had a great time seeing family friends and seeing all of Papa's trains running. We went to Christmas Eve Mass at Masons School and it was a cute service and we only had to get there 10 minutes early to get seats which was amazing.  We then hosted Christmas Eve dinner and opened presents at our house with the Jeppsons and family.
Christmas morning the boys woke up around 5:45am and it was my most favorite morning yet! They were so excited to see their Hot Wheel toys and many other gifts! We headed to my parents to open gifts there with everyone else around 9.  We chilled the entire day and my mom made a Christmas dinner.

This year we visited Santa a bunch and did all of the other holiday activities that we planned to do!

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at Mimi and Papas and the Jeppsons came intown! We were also lucky because Gigi and Grandad were visiting Great Gram in Topeka so we were able to spend the weekend before Thanksgiving with them.
We put up our Christmas decorations and had a great Thanksgiving break!

I asked mason what he wanted to do on his Christmas break and his first request was to visit Aunt Toots kindergarten class. So we planned a visit and it happened to be on Polar Express Day! The boys loved playing with her students, watching part of the movie and drinking hot chocolate. Mason jumped right into playing with the students, while C was a little more reserved and wanted me within  reach. They are so lucky to have such an awesome aunt!

Well the roads are freezing over again so this afternoon was the perfect time to make our gingerbread houses and then Mikael surprised us with the Polar Express movie! Experiencing the holidays with the boys is literally the best thing ever. It doesn't get any better than this!
