Fun visit to KC and 21 Months Old!!!

I can't even believe Mason is 21 months old!!!! His new super short haircut definetly makes him look like a toddler but I still don't know where the time went!

We went to KC this weekend to visit the Jeppsons while Mikael was at Nick Adkins Bachelor party in NOLA!

It is so much fun watching mason, maddie and Joseph grow up together! Mason has always been obsessed with Joseph, but it is adorable watching him play with maddie now! They talk back and forth and really interact and play together now. And whenever I ask about Joseph he will always bring up Maddie now too! Which it used to only be all about JoJo. This also makes me so excited for Sophia and Greyson (our niece and nephew on Mikaels side) to be around mason more as they get older; as I am sure they will see mason the same way, mason sees Joseph!

We had great weather so we visited a park and played outside a bunch! And mason and I were super lucky to witness Joseph's 1st ever Soccer Game/practice!! Joseph did so great, and mason loved cheering him on!

On a different note, one little hiccup we have now is that Mason can easily climb out of a pack n play. He started this between 18-19 months, so it makes nap time and bed time interesting. He prefers a regular size bed to the pack n play (I can't really blame him). So I have to usually lay with him til he falls asleep and then move him into the pnp. But honestly , I see it as a little bonus these days. I know my one on one cuddle time with mason won't last forever and will def be harder to get after Baby Olson 2 arrives in June. So I will take advantage of the traveling sleep situation. He does great at home in his crib, since he can't climb out.

We love hiding under the table These days!
Loving on lily

Mason enjoys getting suckers after his haircuts!

Mason wanted to join in on the soccer warm up fun!

A few more St. Patrick's Day pictures

Mason is all ready to sound the siren!
Here are a few more pics from St. Patrick's day! Mason is 20 months and we are 26weeks with baby 2.

Word and Place Association (almost 21 months)

Recently mason has gotten very good at associating certain things with specific places. It is actually really cute and surprising when we discover new associations. Here are a few examples that he has started within the last 2-3 weeks

~ when we pass a white fence, mason automatically starts saying "neigh, neigh". At first I didn't know why he was saying that but then figured out he was looking for horses. At our favorite park, the horses are kept in the pasture with a white fence!
~ if we drive thru a McDonalds, he eagerly askes for "Fry and Shake"...yes we realize this association is not ideal.
~ Yesterday when we were walking into Costco, he started signing "Shake". Mikael and I just started laughing... I sometimes get a Berry Smoothie at Costco, and let Mason have some. Apparently, he remembered and wanted to make sure we knew that he wanted to get a Smoothie upon leaving Costco!

Here are some cute pictures from the past week:
Breakfast after church at our favorite brunch spot!
Thanks Papa for teaching Mason how to build jelly towers! He does it all the time now and is entertained for most of the meal!
Loving putting momma's shoes on and being able to put on our own hat.
Studying up on how to be a big brother
It must be March Madness, because lately all Mason wants to do is play basketball outside! And he will just stand under the basketball and request "dadda basketball". It is pretty cute
We are so happy when dad gets home from work and is able to play basketball with mason!

Baby #2 Updates

After creating about 15+ posts all about Mason and our recent adventures, I realized I haven't even blogged about Baby #2!

We are so excited to meet Baby Olson 2 in late June!!!! We found out on January 21st that the baby was growing wonderfully and all the organs were developing appropriately. Everything looked amazing and healthy! And we found out that Baby Olson 2 is a BOY!!!!

I had a feeling it was a girl because I had a few dreams earlier in my pregnancy that it was a girl. Mikael thought it was a boy. We are thrilled to welcome him to our family and know mason will be the best big brother!

I have been feeling great! This pregnancy is flying by! We have started working on his nursery and are going with a nautical theme. His name has not been decided but we will share as soon as we figure it out.

Mason wants to name him "Happy", after his favorite song! He is very cute and knows where the baby is, although sometimes he points to Mikaels stomach too; and says Daddas baby!

I am measuring right on time so as of now our due date is June 24th, but we will just hope for anytime late June!
Mason loves waving to the baby, giving the baby kisses and sometimes even sharing his Paci with the baby! It melts my heart!
