Last family vacation as a family of 3...(mason 22months and Ashley 34 weeks)

Here are some pics this far on our family vacation to Destin! Of course the first week went way too fast!! Mason and I are super lucky and get to stay an extra 5 days! Thanks to Mikael for working hard for the money back home!

Highlights:
- Mason still loves the water, pool, beach, ocean, etc!
- He gets excited to look for boats while on walks and on the porch and is very friendly! "Hi Boats" "night night boats" and "Pirate Ship Boats" are a few of his fav quotes!
- he is also getting really good at calling out what he sees. For example, we will pass a school bus and instead of just saying beep beep, he will know/say school bus. He has done this with mail trucks, diggers, airplanes, etc
- when we ask what he wants to do he typically requests "papa's beach" or "Mimi's Pool".
- he has been sleeping in the bunk bed room and is pretty thrilled about sleeping in the bottom big boy bed. We decided to call it "Jojo's bed". He does great for the most part except he will stand in front of the camera monitor and tell us he is done sleeping but the last few times he has let himself out of the room (yep we can open doors pretty easily now) and come to our room.
- he had his 1st ever ear Infection and bad diaper rash while in Destin, so that was fun
- he loves going out on "papa's boat", which we were lucky to do 2 times!
- he is speaking in 3-4 word sentences now and is picking up and repeating most words.
- he has no fear.... Loves jumping Into the pool (Into an adults arms) and loved the rides at "The Track". It was honestly scarier for me to let him go on the airplane ride!
- he is the cutest putt putt golfer!

Easter weekend/Jennifer engagement

This post is way overdue!

This year we had a fun, exciting, super busy Easter weekend! It all started on Thursday 4/17 (Jennifer's Birthday), when Elliot proposed to Jen!! It was such a fun day and we are thrilled that Elliot popped the question! We then celebrated at Meadowbrook with a birthday/engagement dinner! And to top it off Lauren and the kids surprised us all by coming intown early!

Friday we spent the day with the Olsons and Heanys at the zoo! It is so great seeing Mason interact with his new baby cousins, Sophie and Greyson. That evening Elliot planned a surprise engagement pArty at my pArents house.

Saturday we went to the neighborhood church for Easter festivities and then surprised the Olsons with a family photo session ! Saturday evening we all headed to DeAnn and Doug's.

Sunday we hosted Eastet brunch after mass. It was a wonderful weekend with all of our family! We feel so lucky that we get to see everyone pretty frequently even though not everyone lives intown!

Practice Easter Egg Hunt and Celebrating Coco Stines 30th (21.5 months)

The weekend before Easter we participated in the "Hunt for a Cure" Easter Egg Hunt at Queeny Park. It was masons first hunt this year... If you don't count the practice sessions, Mikael coached at our house ;) Aunt Jennifer joined us too! Mason loved riding on the horse and petting the bunny and goats at the mini petting zoo! He did great during the hunt, but did not appreciate having to wait for the announcer to let the participants begin. He threw a cute mini temper tantrum bc he was so anxious to get started! He absolutely loved grabbing the eggs and opening them to find candy!

Later that day we went to the Stines for a surprise party for Colleen! Watching mason play with Ryan is just too cute! And mason is pretty obsessed with maddie too!
