5 weeks old and smiling....

Christopher has had a few big steps this week! He started smiling in response to hearing voices/fun noises! And the last two nights he has gone anywhere from 3hrs (normal for him) to 4-5hrs inbetween feedings! So that felt amazing!!!

I def see some similarities between mason and Christopher. This pic is of both of them at 5 weeks! Mason on the left and Christopher on the right.

A happy smile and a pouty face!

Christopher at 6 weeks and life with 2!

Playing together
Teaching baby Christopher about yummy goldfish!
Reaching for the rings and holding on!
Mason and Peggy Sansone playing in the pool. Of course he wanted to be in the floaty toy....Peggy is 10 months old!
The last few weeks have been fun, great, tiring and a learning experience. I am loving being a mom of 2! But it def has it challenges and trying moments. It is crazy how much prep and thought goes Into leaving the house now for playmates or to run errands.  Mason has been good with Christopher , but has learned that when I am nursing, I am less available. So, if he is going to cause trouble or act mischievous that's when Mason Man strikes.

Christopher has been growing like a weed and is getting better at night. Within the last week he has gone anywhere from 3-5 hours inbetween feeding at night! Those 4 and 5 hour stretches feel amazing! Sometimes he will wake up and Mikael will Rock him back to sleep so that's usually how we can get a 5hr stretch.
He still gets the hiccups and an upset Tummy but not as much. He smiles in response to noises and faces now too! He loves
Maddie was very interested in Christopher! She is almost 9mo to the day older than him.

Christopher's 1st Baseball Game

Last night (7/22) Christopher went to his 1st baseball game! It wasn't our plan to take a 5 week old to the game but it ended up working out. Mikael was working downtown so I was dropping Mason off at Busch Stadium so they could go to the game together; but since it wasn't too hot we figured Christopher and I would stay for an hour or so. So although it was brief, we had our first cardinals game as a family of 4! Mason and Mikael stayed longer and enjoyed some dad/mason time

1st Family of 4 Trip...Topeka/Kansas City

This past week Mikael traveled to Dallas for work. I was at home with the boys and it was definitely a learning experience. Thanks to my mom and Jennifer for the extra help! We had a visit with Maureen and Peggy on monday and Cara Arlo Roth stopped by on Tuesday! This week I started taking walks again and it felt amazing! I was able to get out a few days this week for 20-45 minute walks and felt great! And I was pushing the boys in the new double stroller!! I also went to the breastfeeding support group at St. John's and was thrilled to find out that Christopher weighed in at 10lbs 10oz at 4weeks 1 day! The 3 of us ventured up to KC early on Thursday... And the boys were amazing in the car!

We arrived in KC and Mason was so excited to play with Jojo and Maddie! It is so fun watching them grow up together and enjoy playing with each other! We went to Topeka, Friday morning to visit gram and had a wonderful visit! She loved meeting Christopher and playing with Mason. We had lunch with her and all of her friends. We were so happy to visit with her!

The rest of the weekend we were celebrating Nick Adkins and Jenna!!! We had a wonderful time at the rehearsal dinner on Friday and at the wedding on Saturday!
Sometimes mason asks to hold my hand and its pretty cute!
Playing with Peggy Sansone
Love our play dates!
Christopher loved the beautiful weather all week and being outside!
Mason was not a huge fan of me carrying  Christopher in the Baby Bjorn... And then of course wanted to be carried too!
They did great on the 3.5hr car ride to KC!
Joseph and Maddie loved baby Christopher!
Mason loved spending time with Great Gram!
Jojo had a "swim meet" Saturday morning and mason loved watching him and then was pleased to get donuts at the award ceremony!
While we were at Adkins wedding on Saturday, Lauren and Joe took the kids to ride the train and after it started moving mason loved it!!
Waiting for the train to start!
Such a great visit to Topeka!
