Music Man Mason....13.5 Months
Mason has always loved listening to music, which obviously makes his momma pretty happy. When he was only a few months and now, it would calm him down if he is upset. We just turn on Pandora (Disney Channel, Sound of Music, etc) and he loves it! Before he began walking, he would pull up on something and sway back and forth. He also has been shimmying his shoulders too! This video is from the weekend and is just adorable!
We try to have music on when we are outside and we can always tell when he likes a song because he will start swinging his arms, shoulders, and wiggling! He actually lifts up his feet to shift side to side now too (just like Papa!)
This video is super funny too!
In honor of Madeline and Joseph coming to stay with us for a weekend.....
Mason Enjoying Mikaels 30th Birthday Cake in Destin!
I will be updating the blog shortly with pictures and videos from our Family Trip to Destin over Memorial Day 2013. But this video was just too cute not to post now. We celebrated Mikaels bday in Destin this year and of course Mason had to try out the birthday cake! He wasn't sure what to do with it in the beginning (not captured on the video), but he figured it out pretty quick!
.the 1st initial stare! I am sure he was trying to figure out how to conquer the cake!
Face first!!
Hmm... this is pretty tasty!
At the end I think we were exhausted from all of the work! But you will notice the cake is pretty much gone
Arlo/Roth wedding and Mason/Henry Slumber Party! (Mason and Henry both almost 1 year old)
Another Old Post......
I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in Cara Arlo's wedding on June 8th! We had such an amazing weekend celebrating Cara and Kevin! Their rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception were fabulous! Cara looked gorgeously stunning all weekend! We are so happy for them!! We are also thankful for Katie and Jamison Stone for helping us with Mason! My parents were invited to Cara's wedding, which meant they were not available to babysit. And Jennifer and Elliot were celebrating their 2 year anniversary. So Katie agreed to watch Mason. And he actually spent the night at the Stones....for his very first Slumber Party! I am not sure what you call sleepovers for little boys....but Slumber Party just sounds too fun not to use the term!
He had an incredible time with Henry! And we were able to enjoy ourselves all day and night!!! Thanks to Jennifer/Elliot for watching Mason during the day!
Just playing with Henry!Hamming it up!
Cuddling and getting ready for bedtime!
Lots of laughs after bathtime!
The venue, Seven Green Gables, was beautiful!! The weather was gorgeous too! The cute couple!
In Love with the newest addition to the AB family! He was just a puppy and training to be one of the dogs that rides on the Wagon with the Clydesdales!
At the "After Party", after the reception! Pretty in love with this guy!
An Evening at Busch Stadium! June 13, 2013
This post is a little old, but I have been meaning to post these pictures. Back in June I got tickets to an event at Busch Stadium for the 50th Anniversary of The Sandlot Movie". I took Jennifer, Elliot, Mason and a friend from work. Mikael couldn't go because of work. They had some older Cardinals players at the event to sign autographs, you could take a tour of the Clubhouse, and the Movie Director and a few main characters from The Sandlot Movie were there to answer questions and for the screening of the movie on the jumbotron. People could bring blankets and sit in the outfield to watch the movie. It was a really neat event!
Mason wasn't sure about the grass at first, so he tried to elevate his legs so they wouldn't touch the grass! haha!
Still trying to only touch the grass with 2 limbs.
The locker room!
We love Aunt Jennifer!
The Dugout!
Sitting right in front of Dad's favorite player! Adam Wainwright!
The World Series Trophy!
The Dugout just chilling!
You weren't allowed to touch the trophy, so of course right when I sat Mason on the podium he reached for the trophy. Apparently someone had spent 6+ hours that day shining/cleaning it!

Baseball Game with the Stines!
We went to the baseball game on Sunday with Doug, Colleen and Ryan Stine! We had a great time, even with the crazy heat! Honestly though it has been such a mild summer that I can't complain about the last weeks intense heat. Mason and Ryan are too cute together. They are definetly aware of each other, but didn't totally play together while at the game. But I am just so excited for more playdates in the future!!! Our cute little cardinals fans!
Allen Craig Meet N Greet, Donuts and Masons 2nd Haircut!
Mason had a very excited few days over the last few weeks. We attended an Allen Craig Meet N Greet at the Peabody Opera House (Thanks Frito). He was too cute when we had our picture taken with Allen. He just kept staring at Allen Craig and was in Awe. It was the same expression he had when he met David Freese last year. He enjoyed running around the venue and saying hello to everyone!
Earlier that week, Mikael took a day off to stay home with Mason. I know Mason loved it as much as Mikael did. In the morning, Mikael took him to McArthurs Bakery (Delicious Bakery near our house) to get some donuts! Mason loved the donuts!! Mikael shared a long john and chocolate donut with Mason, but I am not sure who ended up eating more. Mason literally came out of his highchair to eat the donuts! He apparently coudln't chew and eat them fast enough!
Finally, I am a sucker for long curly hair! So it is always hard for me to decide when to get Mason a haircut. He just looks so darn cute with his curly hair, even if people call him a "cute little girl" or if it's in his face! I called the Hairy Elephant (An adorable childrens hair salon) but they were booked solid for awhile....due to Back to School. So I opted to cut Masons hair by myself again. I had done it a few months ago. So the pictures below are before and after shots. It ended up turning out ok, and he did great just sitting in his highchair! Although the other reason I hate little kids haircuts....is because they look so much older afterwards.
Mason was in awe of Allen Craig! He is one lucky little guy!
Before Picture....BTW we combed his hair this way to show the length. It isn't always in his face, but normally combed to the side.
How can you not adore his wavy/curly hair! So cute!!
Boo for shorter hair and older looking baby!
No more curls here!
Please notice he is trying to stand up in his highchair to get the donut faster~! hahah!
Loved chocolate donuts!
