2 Months Old!!!

Time is flying!!! Mason is 2 Months old today and more adorable than ever!! He is rolling on his side a bunch, babbling up a storm and can't stop smiling!! Such a happy baby!!

7 Weeks and Growing!!

Here are a few highlights from this week.....Mason has rolled from his back, to his side, to his tummy 2 times this week!! He is also baby babbling a ton, he will smile back at you if you smile at him, he really enjoys "peek a boo" and the "how big is mason" game. He also has learned how to make my heart melt and feel awful by using his lower lip and the saddest little cry!!! It has only happened a few times for 1-2 minutes.... But it's the saddest little baby cry! He loves looking at himself in the mirror too!! Finally, we had a huge accomplishment thus week.....drum roll.... Mason has slept between 6-9 hours the last 3 nights!!! I think Mikael and I feel like new people!!!

First trip to the beach as a 7 Week Old!

San Diego Trip!

We went to San Diego from August 15-19th for my cousin Andrews wedding.  We were really nervous about taking Mason on the plane and messing up his schedule but he did excellent! We went to the San Diego zoo on Thursday which was fantastic! We had a blast! Mason was awake for about 1/2 the time at the zoo, but we hope he just loved the animals!  We did get him some cute souveniers which hopefully you can spot in the pictures.  We hung out by the beach on Cornado Island with Mason and also were able to fit in a date night in La Jolla (Thanks Mom & Dad for babysitting).  We spent some time at Mission Beach at a rented beach house and Mason enjoyed the fresh air.  Finally, Naomi and Andrews Taco Party (Friday) and Wedding (Saturday) were so much fun! Mason was the cutest baby there and his "Rustic Festive" outfit was a success.

6 weeks old

6 Weeks Old!

I know I say this every post, but I cannot believe how fast Mason is growing up and developing!  Around 5.5 - 6 weeks he really started "talking" (Baby babbling).  He now loves staring at himself in the mirror on the playmat and he is reaching and touching the hanging toys on his playmat. He is also rolling onto his side a lot now.  He uses his arms and legs to turn on his side and it is too cute to watch! This week we headed to San Diego for my cousin Andrew's wedding.  Mason was amazing during the plane ride and he was very laid back and chill the entire trip.  His feeding and sleeping schedule got mixed up due to the 2 hour time change and being busy during the days.  Here are some pictures below of Mason at 6 weeks....

First plane ride!

So we made it!! Mason did fantastic on the first leg of our flight today!! We flew from St. Louis to San Antonio and he did amazing!! We have a layover in San Antonio and our flights delayed so I figured I would post a few pics. Now hopefully he does just as well on the San Antonio to San Diego flight!!
Oh and we only had 1 person ask us...."do you let other people hold your baby?" I mean really!?!?

The final touch

I have been meaning to post this....
We put the final touch on the nursery last week and it looks amazing!!! Aunt Lauren made Mason the most adorable birth announcement needlepoint. I think I go into masons room about 5-6 extra times a day just to look at it! It is such a wonderful keepsake! Thanks also to my mom for getting it framed!

Fabulous weekend!

This weekend was the first time the weather was in the 80s since June and it felt amazing!! We were actually able to bring Mason outside and we hung by the pool. We also installed my birthday present (a super high tech bird feeder) so now we are just waiting for the cardinals and yellow finches to use it.

The fresh air must have really taken it out of him because both nights he passed out and when it was time for him to eat I could not wake him up. And when I say I could not wake him up, i am not kidding. I even trimmed his nails in hopes of waking him up and he didn't make a single move. I think all the fresh air wore Mikael out too!
