Today Mason and I went to our first storytime at Richmond Heights library. Mason loved the children's library and was intrigued by all the toy and new books. When the librarian was reading the 2 story time books, Mason was the only child walking around the room exploring.... So we will be working on sitting and listening next time. I think he was just excited to be at a new place, because e usually loves sitting in my lap and listening to story's. then the class sung songs and had playtime with Legos! We met a highschool friend, Anna and we daughter Brooke. Mason had a blast and fell asleep on the car ride home!

Allie Winters Wedding & 1st Storytime at the Library
This weekend we celebrated Allie Winters and Jim Deno! We attended their fun rehearsal dinner on Friday which was during the Cards vs. Cubs game. This was perfect since Allie is a cards fan and Jim is a diehard Cubs fan. Then on Saturday I read at their wedding ceremony and we danced the night away at their reception! Thanks to my parents for watching mason for us!!! The rehearsal was casual and fun at Saratoga lanes and the wedding reception was at Moulin. We went to Vin de Set Imbetween which is a great rooftop restaurant that is in the same building.
1st week as a Stay At Home Mom and Mason development updates!
Well last week (sept 23-27) was my first week as a Stay At Home Mom and it was fantastic! The time flew by each day! We tried a new park (Millenium Park), went on long walks with Mimi, had a play date at Tilles Park, met Dad out for lunch and a bunch of other activities! We also made dinner for the Stines and met Miss madeline kaye stine!! Mason seems to enjoy having me home and we get along just great! It is so fun being with him every day. Here are a few things we learned last week: Mason can show you his nose, mouth, belly button, head, feet and hands. He will also dance when asked and he likes dancing in my arms too doing lots of spins and dips! He still loves reading books and will pick out books and come sit in your lap. Finally, mason seems to be running everywhere and he is really starting to climb on things .
Mason has also gotten really good at using sign language. The signs he uses to date include : milk, more, please, thank you, bye bye, birds, airplane and eat. It is really fun watching him communicate with us using his sign language.
Lastly, Mason is getting very independent these days and likes to feed himself. He will let you feed him a few spoonfuls of food but then will ask to hold the utensil and feed himself. It is really cute watching him try to hit his mouth and most of te time he is pretty accurate.
Teeth: At this point he has his 4 front top teeth, 4 front bottom teeth and his 4 baby molars!
And as of yesterday we noticed that he is starting to get 1 tooth Imbetween his kola and the 4 front teeth!

Officially retired! Sept 17, 2013
Well, today was officially my last day at Frito Lay! It was a very weird feeling and I was still a little sad during the day. I don't think it has hit me yet, but it sunk in a little as I cleaned out my office, went to lunch for the last time with co-workers (we went to our fav. Imo's) and turned in my labtop/iPad,door key and key card. Oh and my American Express card! I said my good-byes to everyone and got a little teary eyed when I said bye to my old boss (Jeff Swinton, Director of Sales) and current boss (Kate Gedda, Category Manager). I really will miss the people and my position. I felt challenged and was constantly learning. I will miss my weekly routine and the flexibility. But I know I will enjoy spending my days with my little man! He is totally worth walking away from a great salary and benefits. And I have def learned over the last 2 years that life is short so we must take advantage of every moment we have. So starting tomorrow.... Mason and I will start our adventure together!
Thanks to my mom, dad and Jennifer for celebrating with me tonight! Thanks for dinner, flowers, cards and fun new wine glass (Jennifer). Thanks to Mikael for my hidden card!
Finally, thanks to Katie Stone for helping me with mason over the last few days!!!
