Christophers Newborn Photo Session

These pictures were taken by Amanda Potts (Adpottsphotography) when Christopher was 11 days old and Mason was 1 day shy of 2 Years Old!  We loved the pictures and can't wait to share the entire album with everyone.

Mason and Ryans Playdate videos

Yesterday Colleen, Ryan and Maddie Stine came over to swim and hang out! We had a blast getting to spend the afternoon with them.  Doug came over after he got off work and we were lucky because Mikael was able to be around for most of the afternoon too.  Mason and Ryan get along so great and love playing together.  The following videos are just too cute! Hope you enjoy!

Cardinals game with Uncle Doug and Ryan!

On July 10th Mason, Mikael, Uncle Doug and Ryan went to the Cardinals Game! I think they all had a blast and hope to make it an annual tradition!

Tilles Park Food Truck Night

On Aug 19th we went to the food truck night at Tilles Park. We met up with the Stines, Sansones, Seth/Katie and Ryan/Ellen. Mason hadn't seen Ryan for a few weeks and was so excited to see him and Maddie! When he saw them in the distance he literally took off running towards Ryan and started screaming in excitement! They are just the cutest together and played all night long. They were in their own little world!

Christopher's 2 month check up

We had Christopher's 2 month check up this week on 8/25 (10 weeks old). He got an A+ from the doctor on his development and growth! He is really starting to coo and baby babble, turns his head when he hears my voice, can support his head pretty well, while laying on the playmat he will stare at hanging toys and swat at them, etc.

Here are his stats: 

Height: 23.75 inches (71%)

Weight: 12lb 12.5oz (12.75lbs) 66%

Head: 16.3in 76%

He hated his shots! He had to get 3 in his legs and 1 oral. 

Christopher's 2nd Baseball Game!

Today we went to the Cards vs. Cubs game and took both boys. Christopher had been to 1 game earlier this year, bit today he actually stayed for the entire game. We had tickets in the PWC Suite so we knew he would be ok in the A/C. He and Mason seemed to like the game. Christopher kept looking around and took it all in. Mason liked watching the game and saying "strike 'em out" and "Go Cards"; however he took a break for a bit to watch some football on the big screen in the suite too.

Sadly the Cardinals lost today!

Mason 26mo and Christopher 10 weeks!

Angels bowling in heaven

Throughout the days I am always reminded of how lucky Mikael and I are to have 2 healthy and happy boys. But tonight I was reminded that I am totally doing the right thing with my life right now, being a mom.

It had been thundering this evening and mason pointed out that he heard thunder and "angels bowling". We did our normal bedtime routine and he went to bed in his crib. About 5 minutes later a huge, loud, long thunder happened. I was downstairs and actually was startled bythe  thunder. Then I heard mason crying and calling "momma".

I went into his room and he practically jumped into my arms and wrapped his arms around me tight. I asked him what was wrong and he said "mommy I hear thunder and angels bowling. I sleep in mommys bed". My heart melted. I asked him if he was scared and he replied "yes, sleep in mommys bed". 

Mason really hasn't ever slept in our bed and usually thunder doesn't bother him, but recently he has started taking notice of when rooms are dark or it's dark outside. He will say "it's dark out there; turn light on."  So I am not totally surprised he got scared.

Anyways, mason cuddled in our bed and insisted I stay with him. When we heard more thunder he would look at me and say "it's just angels bowling mommy. They have wings and fly high up in the sky. The angels are talking to me." And I replied that its ok to be scared but that he was safe and ok. Finally I was holding Christopher and we heard another bout of thunder and mason stated "mason not scared, Christopher not scared, mommy not scared.... It's just angels bowling".

So tonight was just one of those special moments when I had mason cuddling and snuggling while I was holding Christopher and I couldn't feel more lucky and happy.

Rolling over and sleeping in the crib...oh my! 9.5 weeks

Well the last 24 hours have been big for Christopher! Last night 8/22 we put him to bed in his crib for the 1st time (9.5weeks). He did great! He woke up at 1am to eat and then woke up a few times after that searching for his paci but overall he did great! For my reference: we swaddled him with arms in, put him down around 10:30pm and he got up up between 6-7am. Lately if he goes down around 10ish he will wake up 1x in the middle of the night to eat, and then wakes up up between 5-6am.

Also this afternoon he rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time! He was on the carpet and had rolled to his side and then decided to keep on going! Mikael, Jennifer, Elliot and I all witnessed it!  (Video will be posted soon!)

Finally, all the rolling around must have worn him out because we put him down for a nap in his crib around 4:15 and had to wake him up at 7:15. (Swaddled with arms in)
