Spring Snow Storm 3/24/2013

Here are some pictures from the storm that hit us yesterday. It was a beautiful snow all day long. We got between 12-14 inches in 24 hours. It seems crazy that the day before we took mason to his favorite park and played on the swing set! To get a good idea of how much snow we got look at our trash cans, BBQ pit, the pots on our front porch, and the horizontal beam on the swing set. It is also pretty depressing looking at the pool and diving board!

Masons Teeth!

Well here is an update on the development of masons teeth. As of 3/24/13 he has 4 teeth that are thru the gums (almost 9 months old)
1/31 we noticed his 1st tooth coming thru the gum. Upper middle tooth
2/8-2/10 the top front middle right tooth cut thru the gum
2/22 top front middle left tooth and another top tooth to the right of his 2 center teeth cut thru
3/5-3/10 bottom middle right tooth broke the gum
3/24 upper left tooth starting to show up

Bingo with Great Papa and Great Nana!

Yesterday we spent time at the park, visited great nana and papa, and then headed over to Henry Stones house for a quick play date. Mason enjoyed helping Great Papa play bingo! And he provided smiles for Nana and Papa too!

1st time swinging!! Almost 9 Months

Well the forecast for tomorrow is 100% chance of snow and we are suppose to get 3-5 inches. And in typical St. Louis style it is 55 degrees out, so we went to the park and mason loved the swings!!

My baby is growing up....formula, teeth, oh my!

Well we are 8 days shy of Masons 9 Month birthday and today we tried giving him formula for the 1st time. He drank 4 of the 6 oz. We did 4oz of formula and 2oz of bm. It is crazy to think that he will start drinking formula and real milk over the next few months. I feel pretty proud to say as a working mom, I lasted almost 9 months, exclusively breastfeeding. Mikael and I have a trip to Mexico April 7th so I figured we should start introducing formula now, in case we don't have enough BM for when we are gone. A few other updates on mason as an 8.5 month old....
- He currently has 4 teeth that are thru the gum. His top middle tooth came in 1st (1/31) and then 2 other teeth on the top. He finally had a bottom middle tooth come thru on 3/5. He is just the cutest little guy with his pearly whites.
- He loves crawling and can even go up the 1 step in our tv room without any issues! He crawls on all 4s and is very fast!
- he is pulling up on everything and can walk side to side of holding on to a table.
- he is getting good at waving "hi" or "bye" which he began doing around 8 months
- he eats baby food (2nd foods) and some people food (bananas, Cheerios, sweet potatoes) and love yogurt bites and puffs!
- finally, when he sees Mikael and I enter a room he will crawl to us and want to be picked up. Also if he is in his bouncer and sees us enter the room he will raise up both arms to get picked up.... It is very cute!!

8 Months Old!

I cannot believe Mason is already 8 Months Old!!! His first year is going way too fast!! He is learning new things every day and developing so fast!!!! He can pull up on everything now and is trying to walk. He will shimmy his way around all of his stand up toys/tables. If you hold his hands while he is standing up he will try to take steps forward. He really enjoys baby food, baby yogurt, baby puffs and baby cookies! Today we went to breakfast and he was very interested in eggs and pancakes and tried to eat them by himself. We still give him milk every 3 hours or so. He also eats baby food/snacks at dinner. He loves bath time and is very into his bath toys. We have a bedtime routine, and he likes being read and sung to. He is still a very happy and smiley baby boy! He wears 9-12 month
clothes and takes 2 naps/day. Mason had a playdate with Ryan Stine today and it's so fun watching them interact now! Ryan is 17 months old.
