3 Months Old!?! Seems like we just got home from the hospital!!

What better way to celebrate Mason's 3 month birthday than in Destin!! Here are a few highlights of his development that he has recently learned/experienced/etc.

~Reached for the toy stuffed soccer ball in his car seat
~ He has giggled a few times
~ Loves Touching his hair especially while eatin
~ If I am carrying him he is starting to Grasp and hold ont my shirt
~ Holds rattle and can wave it in the air
~ One not so great highlight is that he is starting to get very distracted while eating
~ He is trying to sit up / lean forward
~ We are super lucky and fortunate because he only cries if he is super hungry
~ Loves sleeping on his tummy (if we are in the room) or sleeping on his tummy while someone is holding hi
~ Rolling to his side frequently
~ His Hair looks to be getting lighter and is coming in blonde
~ He still Eats every 3 hrs but if napping will go 4-5 hrs
~ Loves kicking and If held up he tries
to stand and walk
~ Sleeps from 10ish to 7 ish.... Wakes up sometimes looking for pacifier, but typically sleeps 7-8 hours (Feels amazing waking up feeling rested)
~ He has been drooling more and sometimes when I remember I put him in a bi
~ Sadly we are about to move up to size 2 diapers.
~ Mason Likes being read to and looks at the pages
~ Sucking on his hands is a new favorite and he is taking notice of his feet. He still hasn't touched hi feet though with his hands.

And that pretty much sums up what mason has been up to lately!!!

More pictures from Destin... And an update to the update!!

Well I stand corrected..... Literally as I was uploading pics my dad called for me to come out to the porch. Mason was holding the rattle by himself and actually shaking it!!! And we can do it with both hands!!!! And he can do it for way longer than I thought!!

Also during the last week mason has started noticing his feet. He will move his legs and stare at his feet. He is also really trying to sit up! If ur holding Jon horizontal he will act like he is doing little crunches to try and sit upright.

12 weeks old... Why not celebrate our 3 month birthday in Destin!

So we have decided mason is pretty spoiled! He has seen 2 oceans/beaches, been on 6 planes, 1 train, numerous buses, made a quick stop in Vegas, partied with a bachelorette party at the Lake of the Ozarks, visited animals at the San Diego zoo and Grants farm, stopped at Mizzou to explore the campus and been in 4 states.... All before his 3 month birthday!!! It seems crazy that we have had so much fun in such a short amount of time! Here are a few pictures from the first few days in Destin so far....

Also as an update he is still rolling on his side like crazy, grabbing at blankets and sofie, and typically pretty smiley!!! He can hold a circular rattle but only for a little bit.

Kansas City fun! (11 weeks)

We went to KC to help Lauren last Monday thru Thursday and enjoyed being there with everyone. Baby Madeline is getting more alert when she is awake and Joseph loved playing with Mason. Mason was definitely interested in all that was going on and loved making faces with Joseph. On Tuesday in the afternoon Mason thought the faces I was making at him were super funny, so he actually let out his first real giggle. It was the cutest thing ever and Lauren even confirmed that "yep it was a real giggle"! Of course when I tried to capture it on video he stopped!

He also wanted to stay up and hang out during the afternoon nap time. Madeline and Joseph took great naps but mason wasn't having it. I guess he didn't want to miss out.

On Wednesday we went to story time at the library and mason slept through it but Joseph and I had a great time. We sang songs, listened to stories and played in the kid area afterward.

We were sad to leave early Thursday morning but excited to see Mimi and Papa in Destin. I am so glad I was able to go to KC. I realized I hadn't visited by myself or spent time with them all by myself since we lived in KC. I loved getting some quality time with Lauren and joe and the kids! I need to do it more often (not that I dont enjoy having Mikael there too.... It was just nice having a little sister to sister time) or should I say "mom to new mom" time.

We were so excited to finally meet Henry Stone!!!! Katie, Jamison and Henry came to visit St. Louis for 2 weeks before Jamison is deployed. I wish we could have spent more time with them but I headed to KC to help Lauren for a few days before traveling to Destin. Henry is Sooo adorable and I know him and mason will love playing together when Katie comes back to St. Louis for good in October!! In these pictures Mason is 11 weeks and Henry is 8.5 weeks old! It is going to be a blast having them so close in age. After a little playtime Katie and Henry dropped us off at the train station so we could head to KC. Obviously playtime really wore Henry and mason out as they both passed out in the car ride to the station.

Mason did amazing on the train am slept for the first 3 hours. I think he liked the motion of the train. Joe picked us up from the station in KC and I was so excited to help out for a few days!

11 Weeks!!

We had a very busy week during Masons 11th week!! It started off with the balloon glow, an attempt at the bumbo seat, a playdate with our new best bud Henry Stone, our 1st train ride, a little giggle, playtime in KC with cousins, story time at the library,and a solo plane ride with mom to Destin!!

Forest Park Balloon Glow 9/14/2012

We attempted to go the balloon glow last year and spent an hour in bumper to bumper traffic outside of the park, so this year we planned ahead! Mikael picked up dinner and we picked up Jennifer and Elliott at their place and headed down to the park a little before 5. We figured that would allow enough time to get a decent parking spot. The event began at 7. We were able to get a great spot and set up a picnic by the balloons! It was really fun to walk up close to the balloons when they were all lit up. Mason slept thru most of it, but we figure he will love it next year!
